I’m in a state of shock Writing this and watching the clock—tick tock, tick tock, Advancing, approaching, relentlessly, A brand-new year. Oh, can it be? The calendar says the same thing, too. Time races, vanishes for me. Boo hoo! No, wait! It was such a short run! A year of wisdom and progress. Poof! It’s gone! It’s done!

Hi Sara. Good Morning. You have stated a mouthful because I don't know where time flies to and each new year with new aspirations at times fall short. This is just me however. Your rhyming was lovely and never forced. I found this entry to be two folded. We readers see the serious side of your words but we also see the fun and play through your rhyme. Have a wonderful day. May it show all things good and better than that (smile). Love Peace and Blessings now and always. (smile)

sometimes I, too, fall short of the mark I set myself. Glad you found my rhyming 'not forced' and that both my serious and fun side are prevalent in my poem. Thank you for that insight. Wishing you a blessed evening. Hugs, Sara

But you get another year, my dear, filled with me and glee. Can't you see, our hearts are free. Let's take a knee and be thankful for another year to be. It just rhymed on its own. :-) Bill

Oh, yes, I definitely feel these words.. Although, 2023 hasn't been a good year for me, at all, from every aspect, as it brought a lot of melancholy. But I'm hoping that 2024 will unfurl with magick anc optimism for everyone and will bring healing as well ~ you should write more such poems, honestly, you're very amazing at these, with the flow anc rhythm being absolutely impeccable! Sending you love & light, always :)

Dear Sara, your poetic prowess in composing verses has resulted in the creation of a truly vibrating poem. Though 2023 did not bring me its greatest gifts, I eagerly anticipate the coming year to be better. May the advent of this fresh year shower you with plenty of affluence and good luck.

thank you, dear Sotto, for your visit and thoughtful comments. I'm sorry 2023 did not bring you the greatest of gifts, I am glad to see your eagerness as you approach a new year. Awesome attitude. I, too, had a rough 2023, probably the worst one of my life medically speaking. So, I'm ready to close this chapter and, like you, am ready for one with freshness and hope. Merry Christmas to you and yours, hugs, Sara
