Impatiens

Growing flowers is a family tradition Each spring, I set out on a new expedition Traveling from nursery to nursery to find Multi-colored impatiens, no two of one kind Although I become impatient planting in March By June their blossoms flourish in a rainbow arch Surrounding oak trees in a fertile, shady place Impatience arrested, impatiens I embrace Armed with plant food, I have nourished this vibrant crop They bear seeds that take root, now their spread I can’t stop A full spectrum of blooms brings esthetic pleasure I view from my porch, feel blessed with nature’s treasure From radiant flowers, I learn to be patient Knowing rewards take time when growing impatiens *For Constance's Beautiful Flower contest. The little seed impatiens that one buys at the nurseries is lovely but beware of the one called poor man's orchid. It will try to take over the garden. Lovely poem and congrats on your win. Love, Joyce

Good luck with this one Carolyn. Thanks for your comment today and the info yesterday. Most people think I am a little tetched in the head, so I guess I also qualify for a challenged person. Smile! We humans are all lacking a few marbles from what we started with. Lol! Agape, Moses

flowers are such an amazing part of nature, its like their alive, and have souls like trees.(: good luck in the contest, this is uplifting, Carolyn. & im sorry, i meant, "a family not her own" they adopted her, and don't treat her like she is even apart of them.but its not his 'family', its her family who adopted her.and he was the only one who knew of the way they treated her, and he cared, so he was all she had. & yes, he did pass away. have a great day! ~Always&Forever Lynette

Carolyn, when you wrote impatiens in my blog that one day, I had thought you made a typo and left off a T on the end or something. I never heard of this plant before! But now I see, this really is their name. And you did them great justice here in your tribute to their beauty. I bet this one does well in the contest. LUv, Andrea
