How To Know One Is Great

You ask, how can we know one is great? Allow me a moment to extrapolate. It’s the summation of things in a life that were not fate, Being oneself is the great escape.

The more I learn the less I know. There was a song about this, we used to sing in Gifted boys' choir when I was in school. It was called "Sophomoric Philosophers" if I remember right. It said, "The more you study, the more you know. The more you know, the more you forget. The more you forget, the less you know, so why study? Fun to sing. Have a great weekend my friend, Bill

A lot to ponder here, Bill. Nice quatrain. A definition I had not come across before. I think you might enjoy Mark Koplin's latest poem.
