Honeyed Spider Web

Drawn into the honeyed spider web Like a hungry fly searching for food Zap, trapped in a web of lies strown Love words thrown out like stars above A whole galaxy whirling bright Where is that brightest star tonight? Oh! How I long for that star tonight Draw me into that tangled thick web Tell me I'll be your star shining bright Let me feast upon your love like food Show me all of the galaxies above Tell me how from your fingertips strown Love, love's thick web let it be strown Let this be the starry night tonight Let's admire all the glories above Draw me, draw me into the honeyed web Let precious love words be my soul's food Let our love affair be ever more bright Those lies are forever burning bright Around my broken heart they're strown Drawn in by a honeyed web for food Broken by the spoiled mess here tonight Trapped, suffering in this tangled web Now as I look scanning above There's a light radiating above The rich light draws with a glowing bright It pulls me with power from the web As I float along among the stars strown I am blessed with starlight tonight The brightness is my strength and food Loving arms surround, love is my food Lifted up higher and higher above Grateful for this loving time tonight Love grows to a sparkling bright The lies are vanished, no longer strown Broken free from the liar's web Truth is food, right shines bright Now high above the honeyed web strown Resting tonight in love's true web Written, Thursday, May 29, 2014 Sponsor: Jared Pickett Contest: The Sestina Challenge I know it doesn't make much sense...Ha!!

Fine poem indeed Sara, if this doesn't get a place in the top three, I'd have to read them as this piece to me is going to be hard to beat, nice one, James......

Sara, it makes sense to me and I love it. This contest is daunting...you made it look easy. Good luck! Also, I have spent some time this morning reading your little "poem shelf"...you are good, girl. Flaunt it.

Love is only a lie if you refuse to believe it. I like the star thrill in this fine poem of one web being two things synthesizing into one, happiness. J.A.B.

love this one, my friend - I don't think I've tried a sestina ( it looks very hard to do, but you've done a great job)
