Home For the Holidays
Home for the Holidays
The sights, the sounds
The smell of fresh-baked bread
Mom's smile greets me
Fido's greeting bowls me over
Home for the Holidays
The house scrubbed to a sparkle
The bushes all lit up, trim and fit
Dad's firm handshake reassures me
He and Mom are handling the place fine
Home for the Holidays
Some cookies to munch on
Hot apple cider to keep me warm
Curled up by the fireplace
Fast asleep in its glow
