Very True Bill. Like the way you navigated this subject. Speaking of safety My Father made me observe before touching any piece of equipment. he would have confiscated anything I did not handle safely and would never have let me use it until he felt I could demonstrate safe use. I grew up around rifles for hunting only. Regards David.

Good dad, you have, David. My brother was with two different friends on different occasions, went they shot themselves to death. Since then, I don't even hunt anymore. (younger brother). Both were stupid accidents that they knew better than to do: one crawled through a wire fence with the gun leaning against it and shot himself, the other one was just horsing around and tripped (the safety wasn't on ... rifle hit a rock, discharged and shot him right in the head. Nuclear weapons taken aircraft carriers bombers fighter planes..cars and guns' all are I Beleive dangerous especially when pointed In anger, life before was involved with using Guns to supply the table, primarily, and to Defend in the Case of your revolution.. By militia Mostly.. Now we kill cattle on an industrial scale And see ourselves as quite refined, but we still Have wars road rage and bad attitudes I think That is the main problem that drives all else that's bad, to get even worse.'

It used to be a rule in our state to have a course in gun safety before one could own a gun (legally). Most of the bad happens to those who own one illegally. I enjoyed reading your work. If only all aspects of life could be done like they should be done, alas, it doesn't work that way. I enjoyed reading this one. Your visit to my page was encouraging. Sara

Absolutely true my friend , parents perhaps should think twice before buying toy guns for their children and TV control is not far strict enough, even some cartoons should be censored. Gun safety should be taught, before ever picking up a weapon. Well said. On my block, Arizona, most everyone has a weapon and there has not been in incident since I have been here, 40 years.

I think folks should have some basic training in gun safety before they are allowed to own one and have some kind of certificate with their picture and details on and not be able to just buy one with the weekly groceries as they can do now. Weapons are registered in this country. Thank bless brought in ver the border. One can bury cheap guns off the street in the Midwest m cheap. Mental illness goes with gun killing and using drugs. The police have no business who owns one. No body respects them anymore,they are killed. We have a mentally ill society. Anyway, bill the poeip was terrific….SAFE USAGE is key. Pangie xx

Your right, Andrea. It happened twice to a friend my brother was hunting with. Both times, accident and the kid shot himself. Once climbing through a fence. and once dropped rifle climbing a tree. Tragic! thanks for the comment, Andrea. Have a great weekend! Bill
