Wrinkles don't worry me, Eileen; it's the fear of dementia that worries me most! Hugs // paul

You inspire such striking physical and emotional imagery with your beautiful haiku, Paul. The acorn, with its rough, wrinkled cup-like base, symbolizes strength, honor and longevity - a perfectly insightful and ingenious poem, my wonderful friend. Warmest wishes and hugs always.. ~Susan

Have you entered this in any contest. Perhaps it would do well with Brian. One never knows with that sponsor but I managed a few wins with him with haiku!!

Hi Maria. Most oak trees produce acorns when they are about 20 to 50 yrs old...they are in no hurry because they can live even up to 200 yrs! No wonder we compare old age to oak trees! ~ Thank you for your generous remarks:) Regards & Hugs // paul

Very poignant, Paul. There's something rather sad about old hands- they tell a story, but the pages are so thin. Fine haiku. Regards, Viv
