Getting Together

How many times could I dull start a poem today - I need to clean the car, manicure my nails and generally look presentable... I'm half way there, ish. I never know the last time I'll flicker into existence Nor all the times, I was there Yet never realised It's like the camera angles on Strictly They zoom in and I don't see, I feel Everything rests No hyper speed brain I won't be mouthing 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 Just experiencing the ease of good company Alive in the moment Content All expectations on being In fact 'being' due to no expectations Although this car thing My friend won't go for that mess My children just returned from a sleepover Came and hugged me Whilst we figured out how not to topple over in hug Jenga That was a moment Today I'm present My friend trying clearly concerned about me gifting lifts as I appear to accidentally arrive on time with the air of someone who just struck lucky It's meticulous planning - trust me

some times the "spur of the moment" needs to spurred on a bit....I believe Robert Frost's first version of "The Road Not Taken" was entitled "Shoulda stayed Home"

You know what ‘they’ say about the best laid plans, Dilly. Your way may sometimes feel chaotic but if it accomplishes your goal, it works. The car can wait and if Jenga falls it can be rebuilt. Hugs are more important. Have a sweet weekend

Thanks Lin - the car is cleaned to an acceptable standard and now skate and spare coat free, found a dress that fits and just about to do my make up :)
