Discovering Myself Through Seasons

I searched laboriously for you in the cold winter rains, shivering from the shallowness. I chased you on the hot, sultry days of summer, feeling your presence hovering over me like a winged angel with a message from God. I felt you change me during the reflective, transitional days of fall, with a promise of better times and abundant colors and joy. I found you, though, quite unexpectedly in spring blossoms. In my newness of life, for the first time, I felt whole.

Beautiful poem full of meaning. We search to find who we really are. An incessant search may lead to a new understanding. It may not be possible in a short time or season . Perhaps the discovery happens through seasons. As Caren has opined there is an unusual beauty and freshness about this poem.

Thank you, my dear friend, for your kindness and thoughtful comments. In life we struggle and grow through many seasons, hopefully as each new season comes we grow and blossom as our new awareness guides us along our path. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Thank you for seeing between the lines. Our poetry is just the seeds of the thoughts others will think. Your comments are the same for me, my friend.

Allnations, weather, climate have their place, & gratitude is key for humans and/ or The Faithful. You reminded me of thebimpactbGall of leaves leav-ing, falling, coloring crimson's, reds and ochre ... In Eastern Cape, RSA, sun beats any change, except 55 degree (F) mornings from May - July. Thanx

I've never been to Africa, I'm sure it is interesting and beautiful in the way it was created to be. For quite some time I send money to Africa to missionaries I know there. The preacher has visited Texas and we have shared meals together and talked of the great work being done there. Blessings my friend, Bill Shalom shalom Anil
