Here is a four-hour video based on near-death experiences which have even converted medical doctors involved in the surgeries on nde patients, some of whom were deemed dead for as many as five hours. There are patients who left their bodies and were able to describe details of surgeries they were able to see while outside their bodies, sounds, and implements in the room, etc. which give prove their spirits had to be outside their bodies. The ten elements of "proof" are also explained in John Burke's book "Imagine Heaven."  Seeing this video reinforced my belief in the afterlife, and whether it be heaven (or even hell in a few cases), those who cry out to God and accept His saving grace will experience something so marvelous that this earth can't even come close to being compared with it.

“A man who lives fully is prepared to die at anytime.” Mark Twain I fear not death. It comes to everyone who shares here on this earth the sun above. I know that when I die, I’m going to see the ones passed on for whom I had great love. I’ve lived and loved and laughed. I’ve done so much, why fear the home I’ll be returning to when some whose souls leave earth and then return have wished they’d stayed in God’s and Heaven’s view? A glorious realm awaits us when we die. Earth's stay is but a mere blink of the eye.

"A glorious realm awaits us when we die. Earth's stay is but a mere blink of the eye." A beautiful conclusion to the poem. I do believe this. So I feel I can embrace death when it comes without much fear. Great poem. Congratulations Andrea on your top win.

A glorious inspiring carpe diem Andrea I enjoyed the Muslim story in the video, the son’s hellish exp. Mel Gib’s “The passion Of Christ” influence saving him. The brain releases serotonin it may prepare the body for death by inducing feelings of euphoria, explains light at the end of the tunnel. It can lead to heightened alertness, positive emotions. Exciting the spirit leaving the body nde exp. Imagine seeing what’s around you, astonishing. Albeit I believe there is no comparison to heaven or hell, the unknown shall remain the unknown.

Glad to know you watched some of it. The serotonin thing was argued and some doctors now say the things that happened to these patients were not possible to be related to hormones in certain situations. I envy those who have this experience.

Andrea, I love the topic and your take on it! Hopefully, we can do everything we need to before we succumb so we have no regrets ala the quote from Mark Twain. I started watching the video. Thought they did a nice job stating their position on afterlife. Certainly many people seem to hope and believe it exists. I recommend enjoying every day while you are here just in case! You are very sweet!

Its strange but in my youth I did not care about there being an afterlife but maybe life has made me love it so much that I enjoy hearing the tales of those who saw Christ and felt his unconditional love

I hope you watch it and don't fall asleep, sweetie. If you had Hulu you could watch really interesting enactments of the NDEs. Please try not to fear death. But yes, I hear it's difficult to think of dying when one has a twin.

very powerful last line, especially. I still haven't seen the film you sent me the link for, but it's good that it was so reassuring for you. I personally have always believed death isn't the end
