“The occurrence of wild daffodils is sometimes said to indicate the former site of a spiritual hub. In some folklore, daffodils are considered lucky flowers. In particular, there’s a tradition that if you make the deliberate effort not to step on them and crush them, fortune will favor you with abundance.” (www.learnreligions.com/daffodil-magic-legends-and-folklore)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My passion blooms yellow like the smile of a rising sun.
I am spring’s trumpeter announcing spring has begun.
I share my charms upon your garden’s earth
providing mirth and kissing nature with rebirth.
I spend my days dancing with butterflies,
humming with the trees and flowers, a beautiful reprise.
In the breeze I love to sway
imagining I’m performing a famous ballet.
I like to make my presence known
with a luscious scent all my own.
I’m a flora queen and home to the Monarch king
together in your garden we reign supreme.
