“As long as autumn lasts, I shall not have hands, canvas and colors enough to paint the beautiful things I see.” — Vincent van Gogh
Colorful are the days of autumn,
especially in October when I see
all around – gold, brown, red, and yellow
fluttering on tree limbs. It’s a jubilee.
A jubilee to celebrate fall’s season!
The mountains are awash with brightest hues.
People sight-see, driving on Canyon Road.
I go there too, for it inspires my muse.
Fall’s nostalgia also washes over me.
Oh, to see orange pumpkins everywhere.
Multi-colors will invade the streets
in the form of costumes that trick-or-treaters wear.
Skies of blue and grass remaining green
well through mid-fall are candy for the eyes.
Twilight time might show the sky persimmon
or violet and pink – the colors I most prize!
