Saint Monica Mission Tots rushing and jostling, reaching for gifts Three hundred and two presents we did carry We drove to the shore, used pallet jack lifts Children gathered about cheerful and merry Everywhere bows, ribbons, bright wrapping paper! Sandcastles decked with candy cane ornaments Boys and girls enjoying this wild zany caper Eggnog, carols, and the smell of peppermints A dapper Santa in his swimsuit chuckling, ho, ho, ho Grab your boogie boards he bellows, time for a swim We all shout out, hey Saint Nick, go man go! Some of the crew followed Santa and joined him Goodwill and cheer were now within reach With broad grins, ringing bells, kids thanked us guys These unfortunates grew joyful this day at the beach As did Saint Monica who brought Christmas in July! 7/20/22 Second Place Christmas In July Poetry Contest Sponsor: Tania Kitchin RhymeZone

Full of delight and rollicking fun with gifts for kids - Christmas in July at the beach all flavored by selfless giving. Giving to those in need is never out of season. Congratulations for your romp through a celebration of Christmas in July! Blessings. Quick question - do you live in SoCal?

I must say that Christmas in Southern California resembles a July Christmas. Four years of a drought, it was 90 degrees in December. No Joke! Just the other day it was 105. Thank you, Vijay! ;)

Your great gesture of making unfortunate children happy with Christmas gifts in the month of July is laudable ! The children's overwhelming enthusiasm is beautifully caught. A great entry for the contest ! All the best, Anaya !

I'm a dreamer Valsa. My real fantasy involves a super-center with motel like secure housing for the homeless. A cafeteria were donations of surplus food served, 3 meals daily. Mental health clinics adjoining and an occupational center that'll teach job skills. The issue is no one wants it in their neighborhood! Therefore, it never materializes! Nourishing food is trashed here daily from restaurants, grocery stores, schools, fast foods, it is a sin! Thank you for your encouragement ~Anaya
