Christmas
. Christmas cheer
Presents unwrapped
on floor,
lying askew
as Christmas tree blinks
Silver, gold,
red, green
promises,
laughter.
What of those
with no tree
a gift of worn shoes,
old doll, recycled dress.
care,
and share Christmas day.
