Smile. Of course more birds want to join in, because there is a party happening in the birdbath. :) They know it's true, after seeing this one bird "chirping and splashing water". I agree, bird watching is very enjoyable. Many wonderful blessings to you, my sweet friend. :) Brandy

That sounds so fun to watch. I have so many birds around here and yet for some reason, they don't go to the bird bath?

I know what you mean. We just bought a new one and it usually takes a couple of weeks before they venture over and try a new one. Sometimes they never do for some unknown reason. All I can do is offer it to them, they have to decide to use it or lose it. :-) Bill

Bird watching is a favorite pastime. Birds often show emotions such as ownership, jealousy, competition, sympathy etc. I even witnessed a bird funeral once in front of our house when a bird was run over by a car. I wrote a poem about it. I really loved your haiku. Blessings xxoo

Four Myna birds stood solemnly surrounding the dead bird. When I pulled out of my driveway they just stayed there with their fallen friend as I drove slowly by. Later when I came back home the dead bird was gone. I don’t know what happened to it.

I love looking out the window to see them having such fun. It's worth the $'s for the birdbath for sure.
