A Soul's Worth
If one to see the ripened fruit
go back long before the tree –
to where the feet are planted:
firmness of the soil~be certain
that taste of nourishment
not only man but God!
The child as that shoot from
a seed, the lineage of a creed –
let God know his grace
no waste of shower, and
man his spiritual substance,
not simply ambient scent and
colorful flower.
