I had a wild love while working away, his name was Pierre and he stole my heart; he was furtive and I so naivete, I fell for each imaginary part. I thought this man I met was love worthy, he entrapped me with words that turned shallow; I saw my lover as untrustworthy, his passionate kisses left me hallow. Yet, when he touched me I was set on fire, I held tight to this man so nonchalant; he taught me about passion and desire, and the end of our love will ever haunt. I came home ascetic and reclusive, humble- I left this lover delusive. ___________________________ January 17, 2018 Poetry/Sonnet/A Lover, Nonchalant Copyright Protected, ID 18-983-99 All Rights Reserved.
