Autumn comes in countless ways Raindrops touch gently the last reddest rose into memories from a brighter time The summer of countless dreams will become distant silhouettes Embers from the autumn fires, colored by the blood of relatives Under words of sorrow The wind blows through the apple orchard feelings become porcelain fragile Sunset fades the night becomes long ... wrap yourself in love

Anne-Lise, the picture is lovely and the poem is brilliant. You do have a unique and very pleasant way to describe the coming of autumn. The second stanza surprised me with the way the passing of seasons relates to ourselves. It gave me pause. Many smiles from me to you!

"The summer of countless dreams will become distant silhouettes".. Yes, summer is a pleasant season when we weave dreams and spend most of our time out of doors. When summer departs, autumn comes with colors. In winter, sun sets early and night becomes long. You have touched upon the major changes, each season brings. Beautifully written poem, dear Anne. Love and hugs!

I know. Life is so short. Often we are just finding out how to live, love, and its the 4th quarter already. " ... wrap yourself in love" -- indeed. The best advice.

Very poignant. Most notable in autumn is the shorter days. Thanks for the warning of what is ahead.

The ending of something becomes the beginning of something new something we can wrap around our love. Uplifts the soul, Anne-Lise!
