Hi there my dear sis, just as humans adapt to extreme hot and extreme cold temperatures, the same exactly applies to animal and plant life a perfect example you portray with your as always awesome pic, quite a thrill to imagine, how this plant has the strength and stamina to push its way up, through freezing snow.
