Its not too late to fix this up is it?

This photo is one of my favorites Objects which are naturally decaying Have left a rose and a couple of leaves although it reminiscent of dying It show the striking beauty of decay memories that will fall to the bottom In a gray mist of past identities a life's work abandoned and forgotten In folding of the wings over the nest When you awaken in the morning hush Remember the best times, children's laughter Every velvet evening ~ sunset a blush ~~~ 22.09.2020 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved - Writing Challenge - Decay - Sponsored by: Constance La France (10 syllables in each line ) 3rd place in the contest

I really like Jo DiMino's comment - what John Keats said - so so true - I believe do onto others as you would hath them do onto you - the memories you create will never wither and die - physically perhaps, but never in your mind. Beautiful write Anne-Lise. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

As John Keats said: his name (life) was writ in water -- to be absorbed back into sky or flow out to sea, to nameless vastness. What matters most, is not what we write or create in a physical sense -- it is the good we do one another...or the bad.

Yes l can hear it Anne-Lise. My spirit relishes such imaginings. I would love to go back in time to when this house was a home. Today, I would love to explore the architecture inside and out and savor stories told of it’s former life. Oh! to have known this home and it’s inhabitants in all its glory...

It's a fairytale cottage. The stonework and setting are so beautiful. What a shame it's been left for the elements to ruin. Thanks for sharing this photo and your winsome words, Anne-Lise.
