Any senseless poem that fails the reader's expectation should be tossed into the trash bin. Write something that inspires,, let emotions flow with harmony.

Emotions are substance -- Love, hate, they are substance. Angels, they are substance. Maybe not what we commonly understand as physical matter, but spirit is substance. Spirit is real. For me, after everything has been cleaned and polished, there radiates love. Love is the source and ever evolving embodiment of manifest reality. Nothing exists outside of love...all else is illusion.

A nation that fears dialogue is a nation unsure of its democracy.

Each of us a Rough -- needing only the bench of experience combined with Faith. Faith is the cutting before polishing, every gemologist will tell you. No matter the training and precautions, each jewel starts as a gamble. Polishing can be the fun part, the realization of one's own inherent preciousness and beauty.

If you want to call yourself a Poet, don’t let anyone speak on your behalf - speak in own poetic voice. Don’t let anybody else speak about your abuse, expériences or healing. You not only give away your poetic license, you give away your power to feel completely. Any trauma will be diluted in this way & your cycles of repressed emotion will remain repressed in fragments. Worse, it will be coloured by someone else calling themselves collaborators. This is a sophisticated form of power usurping.

Just because your emotions are as good as anyone else's doesn't mean your poetry is going to be as good as anyone else's.

Poetry should express emotion with structure and restraint, because, paradoxically, structure can make the expression of emotion seem more, not less, spontaneous, and restraint can make emotional expression seem more, not less, intense.
