What to Submit?

A new poem, “Sonnet Form Only"... on any theme!

Only an “English Sonnet Form" is Acceptable...

Fourteen lines, 10 syllables per line, with an - abab cdcd efef gg rhyming 
scheme - no strict metering required.

In my last contest so many good poems unfortunately had to be disqualified!

1) DATE YOUR POEM at the bottom, posted on or after Dec. 30th, 2019. 
2) NO NAMES - anywhere on your poem.
3) Sonnet form only.
4) Prize winners -  must supply mailing address (Soupmail) to receive a prize.
5) All poems must use :

    https://www.howmanysyllables.com/
    when checking for rhymes or syllable counts, no other programs are acceptable.

Preparing Your Entry
Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read  no illustrations or fancy fonts. 
English Language
Poems must be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, even if you wrote both the original poem and the translation. 

A Note To Poetry Contestants...
All poets are all welcome to enter this contest, however if you won a book as a prize in any of my previous contests and you win a prize again, you must designate another poet to receive your prize. As a way of launching my new book “A Match In The Dark”, for this contest only... first place winners are exempt from this rule if they so choose.
