When I was feeling depressed, you were there,
you're the one who got me out of my funk.
And telling me that life is seldom fair,
you bought me my first beer, and we got drunk.
When the world weighed heavily on my heart,
you convinced me to try a new approach.
And when all my plans seemed to fall apart,
you encouraged me like a cogent coach.
When everyone else turned their backs on me,
I knew that I could always count on you.
And even though we'd sometimes disagree,
you never walked away; you stuck like glue.
I could not ask for a more faithful friend,
because you, my Angel, are a godsend.
