Like An Angel
Whenever I felt depressed, you were there,
you're the one who'd get me out of my funk.
And proving that life has much more to share
you bought me my first beer, and we got drunk.
When the world weighed heavily on my heart,
you'd convince me to try a new approach.
And when all my plans seemed to fall apart,
you'd encourage me like a caring coach.
When everyone else turned their backs on me,
I always knew that I could count on you.
And even though we'd sometimes disagree,
you never walked away; you stuck like glue.
I couldn't have hoped for a more faithful friend,
for, like an Angel, you are a Godsend.
