Happy New Year's Dreams

Let’s wrap the world in happy new year’s dreams of winter days with love appearing new with passion flowing, bursting at the seams enough to last for now and lifetimes through. Let’s wrap the world in happy new year’s days of peace on Earth and joy within each heart with harmony and trusting, caring ways that lead us to the daylight from the dark. It’s splendid if we have a new year’s dream, a thought about the future all our own but dealing with the present is supreme and we may just be dreaming all alone. Let’s make our world a happy new year’s dream a place where hate’s abhorred and love’s esteemed. 1/7/20 'New Year Dreams' 1st place Sponsored by: Chantelle Anne Cooke English Sonnets Poetry Contest Premier 6th place Sponsored by: Emile Pinet

Janis, I know exactly what you mean when you express fear you may be "dreaming all alone." If everyone could wake up on New Year's Day with love in their hearts and a commitment to peace, imagine what our world would be like. I love your sonnet. One for my faves! Hugs, Carolyn
