1 original, poem on the theme of and entitled
"As I was walking in the Snow"
doesn't have to be those exact words, but can be if you so wish
It must be a Limerick and as such have only 5 lines
Line 1, 2 & 5 - 7-10 syllables
Line 3 & 4 - 5-7 syllables
Please read my Limerick
entitled In the Snow
which is a bit of Black Comedy.
I do enjoy these contests but must admit to slight frustration,
when fellow poets don't adhere to the rules. As an example in my last contest
A poem for a 7 year old, I asked for a maximum of 8 lines, i had one entry with
24 lines and another with 42 lines. Whilst these poems I am sure had merit, I did'nt read them as they couldn't be considered as winners.
There we go, rant over, have fun with the contest
