What to Submit? Poems do not have to be new. Many are tired of rebrainstorming the same wheel. DO NOT WRITE ON DEAD CATS, FLOWERS, SEASONS, LOST LOVES, TREES. THIS IS A WORLD IN TROUBLE, DANGER. A POET'S GIFT DIVINE IS TO WRITE ABOUT THE PEOPLE, TROUBLES AND SUPPRESSION OF THIS WORLD. ANY TITLE. I WOULD NOT DARE STIFLE SOMEONE'S PERSONAL ART/EXPRESSION, BY NAMING THEIR POEM.
1 original, poem on the theme of ....THIS WORLD TODAY.........
Any form is acceptable. SHAKESPEAREAN FORM SONNET
The Dying of America
A painful darkness looms within this land.
The prized American Dream is now at bay,
by foolish minds that failed to understand,
their precious price of freedom cast away.
A time of maniacs has now become,
loosed wild with full intent to thus destroy.
A hate directed outward now is done,
by mental madness of a deranged boy.
They chose a felon king to take a place,
betraying sacred trust of honest rule,
comparing now himself to master race,
who practiced programmed death in ways so cruel.
Come forward spirit of unvanquished truth,
and tie the vicious tongue of him now loosed.
