Not Near Zion

We were blind to the writing on the wall, Some said it was solely about the man, Not considering what had brought the fall, Which had started before the man began. We are in a state of perplexity, We are walking deeper into the night, It’s a state of shards and complexity, They tell us not to lose sight of the light. Where is the light they say that approaches? We see the tendrils of gloom trailing us, The lords of the rings bear feeble branches, They still want us to come, sit and discuss. Tell the man to relinquish the power, The one he holds tightly in that tower. November 26, 2024.

"It's a state of shards and complexity, They tell us not to lose sight of the light." Wonderful poem. Stay strong and keep fighting. The light will come back if we can manage that. Great job.
