UPDATE: Our Upcoming Anthology

We are so excited about our upcoming anthology. We have received almost 2,000 entries. WOW!!!

Still, it's a shame that people still won't follow directions. Many poems have content in the poem text area like dates, titles, "Poem of the Day," and contests won by the poem, etc. Those poems will be disqualified if that content is not removed before we read the poem.

We will choose the poems to include this month, and we hope to be completed with the selection process by the end of the month. We are certain that this 3^rd anthology will be the best one to date.

TPS: A matter affecting a small number of fellow soupers appears to have been overlooked going forward and needs to be sorted. A few of us utilize audio in addition to our posted poems. I may be mistaken about the audio portion after it's completed. Despite that, it does appear within the 'poem text field,' being such, will be a determining factor of audios having no future consequence, anthology and otherwise. Of further note, in the wake of its ambiguity, the deletion of the audio from the poems that I've submitted for the "anticipated anthology" was forthwith. Cheers to all on that quoted subject! ME: I appreciate your quick response. I now understand that the poem note field includes both image/s and text beyond the poem text itself, including audio and videos being post-entries that are dealt with accordingly. I am clueless about the latter-most point of your response. That will require an exchange with the kids nonetheless, Mahalo, and Aloha TPS for clarity.

TPS: If you are a premium member, audio is handled separately. It is not in the poem text field. There isn’t a way to put audio in the poem text field unless you’re inserting a link to an external site. Can you send us a link to an example of what you are referring?

I totally understand about people not reading the rules first. I admit I'm often guilty of doing this myself for, well, so much! Not just for PoetrySoup. However, hoping one of my submissions will qualify! lol (Not trying to promote myself.) Thank you so much for doing this anthologies. Means a lot. I began participating with last year's and loved the poetry of others as well. Looking forward to this upcoming anthology and the wonderful poetry by all the amazing poets on PoetrySoup!

I am looking forward to (hopefully) participating - I did purchase the previous anthologies and there are many gems in them. It really is a different experience thumbing through actual pages. A great coffee table read.. Thanks for all your hard work :)
