Ummm... strange soupmail

I have received a very strange soupmail and to be honest I'm not sure what they're trying to do; it's not attacking but it has scam written all over it.

Are these something that's allowed here now since technically it's not bullying or anything?

I also received it and blocked the sender who had no poems listed, so I figured it a scam of some kind. Sandra

Yeah, I got it as well, SOTP, along with a reply to an old blog comment that was from the same person and message. Spam bot of large proportions ... I imagine the PS crew is all over it by now.

Hi Shadow, I have not gotten it yet but it is definitely something not allowed on Poetry Soup, try to copy it before you block the person so you can send it to Admin then they can see exactly what it is. I will report if I get one, too. It is like a scam of sorts, like you say. Did you check if that person has any poems on soup.

I had it too, no poems by their name. Even had that message in my grateful appreciation blog.

I received "it" also: Titled "How I got my ex-lover back".....only an ad for an obvious quack who alleges to be able to provide some sort of "spiritual" service or some sort of object/"medicine" that will cure all your problems. Definitely should be reported to proper authorities to prevent a recurrence.

Others I am talking to are getting it. It's a very weird one. I guess just block them or report it!

I got the same one in soup mail and also I've seen it as reply to comments on a recent blog. I've been contacted by 3 others who have also received it so it is just a spam and hopefully soup will get rid of it:-) hugs jan xx
