I'm Sorry and Thank You

Those who know me know it is important to me to respond to comments left on my writings. However, the last two years I have missed more comments than I have replied to.

I am sincerely sorry. I will be trying to catch up.

Though I've had migraines for as long as I can remember, they have incresed dramatically over the last two years; so I do not spend much time on electronics. While I don't generally share personal information, I didn't want anyone to feel I was intentionally passing over his/her comment.

Please know how much I appreciate the time each person gives to reading and commenting on a poem. It really does make a writer feel good to see someone has read, and taken the time to comment on, something they have written.

So please accept my apology, and my gratitude.

PS: This isn't a blog about how someone does/does not respond to comments. You may not see replies on a poem only to learn later that the poet 'responds' by trying to comment on a poem from each person who has commented on 'theirs.' Please do not speak negatively about someone else :)

I've missed you. Glad to see this blog. I'm sorry you've been suffering from those migraines. Hope your finding good ways to cope, dear one. I haven't been on much and am trying to get back into the game here. Nostalgia keeps me coming back.. nostalgia for loved ones like you. Big hugs

good to see you back on the site, flo :) as a fellow migraine sufferer i sympathise, mine tend to last for 3 days, stress, lack of sleep etc are all big aggravators

Charlotte my last three-day migraine had me wishing someone would bash my head in... then when it passes I'm starving because I hadn't been able to eat for three days! I would never wish them on anyone. Thank you Charlotte

Migraines are very debilitating and I’m sorry you suffer from them, Flo. I heard you stopped one from beginning today. Rest easy.

They truly are Lin. My pain tolerance is high, even for headaches. But this is not the same thing. Regarding not letting headaches progress, I have tried hard to remain peaceable over the years; twice I have been riled . Once when learning flagrant lies were being told simply to sway people to a side, once when my daughter was being targeted. Neither would affect me now. I will not let someone change that. Regardless of what they profess to be.

So sorry you are suffering so badly with migraines I know how debilitating they can be. No need to apologise Flo, its just lovely to see you back. I spend less and less time on the site, sadly some friends have left or no longer are active. hugs jan xx

Thank you Jan, I know it's hard for some to understand if they haven't had, or known someone with, migraines. It is so much more than a headache. ...breathing hurts :(

Yes. They bump off fast. I remember a day when the inbox stayed three times more full than it is today!

No need to apologise FJ…..most poets are not expectant of replies l do believe and are understanding that we all have our own lives outside of P.S and that takes precedence and above all your health is most important! Hi Deb, true words indeed; most try to fit PS in their busy schedules. I received two very polite inquiries and hoped this might answer any unasked ones. I've always appreciated when someone shared a concern rather than made an assumption. Having migraines every couple months I could handle, but every week is almost more than I can take now... and I've always considered myself a pretty strong person lol.
