What Makes You Stronger?
the small things ... the little things, all of those things that we all fight about on a daily basis, that seem insignificant. only after the fight is done, is when we actualy realize that the fight that we think we had was not actually a fight but "a growing experiance" ... a way of "knowing" you and me on a more intimate level.
we think that because he said this or she did that that it is a personal affront, but it has nothing to do with the persons involved, and it has everything to do with the "person" that we are, our insecurities, those dark places within our own minds that we can not know (because we are to frieghtened to look there) but we know them none the less, they are .... US!!
two friends of mine ... TWO VERY GOOD FRIENDS!!!! recently had an argument about something that i thought was simplistic .... easy to solve, but to them it created a chasm. on the one hand MALE it garnered frustration, and the other FEMALE it created restlesness to the point of gathering smaller things that would fit into bigger things and putting them away into corners of a bigger room that they were originally in.
LOVE!!! is what you have ... and yes ... fights on a scale that you have not dreampt of that will come to pass ... stagnent ... lays the relationship that never fights (i promise you this, its part of a relationship that actually grows) where you both walk away crying and do not talk to eachother for days perhaps ... but what you truly have is a thing to stand the ages, to test the temper in the fire of every forge ... you will feel pain and you will feel sorrow in this thing that you have ... but most importantley, and above all that you will feel .... and i DO MEAN THAT YOU WILL ... feel this thing called "love"
so to my friends, please ... fight when you need to, love ... because it is you, and forgive .... because "you" are not the same without them. ... we all are connections that we would not be the same without!!
