My Fellow Poets ... My Friends
I am going to be hosting a new contest in the next week or so, not sure what it’s going to be about yet. I am mulling over a few ideas.
I know that I never posted the outcome of my last contest, for some reason the site wouldn’t let me end it ... it is still in my "contest administration" Sweetheart and Constance told me that it might have something to do with the fact that I started the contest at the end of 2010, and finalized it at the beginning of 2011. I even tried to finalize it and judge it again the other day.... still nothing! So I do apologize to all of you that entered your very thought provoking and emotional poems, I loved them all ... I truly did!!!
I hope that you will look past the contest that I have not been able to finalize and enter the next one. Oh and Sweetheart, Constance, PD, Dr Mehta, and Carolyn Devonshire. My health is actually much better now, thank you all for your warm and kind words, and the worries that you had about a person that you have never even met, they mean more to me than you know!
That’s what I love about poets.... they feel things that others don’t, they allow emotion that others wont, and they build friendship based on the pen and paper. You all at poetry soup have been very supportive of my endeavors, and never an unkind word has slipped your "keyboard" :) ... yes I had to put that in there!
So to all of those that have commented on my work.... never a negative thought included ... I thank you, and I hope that you know that I wish you well in all that you do, I have never encountered a fount such as this. A place called "Poetrysoup.com" where I at least and I am sure many score of others have found a much needed platform, to help us grow, to help us mature in this thing called "writing". It is a tangled web, this thing of words and this site and the people populating it are that webs anchor.
Again ... thank you all and I look forward to reading all the poetry that I can
