There really isn't much to tell that hasn't been covered in my poetry. Love this site, love the new friends I've made. I am a single woman, work full time, family grown and on their own. When I was in highschool all I wanted to do was write. Life got in the way. Now I have all the time I need to indulge my passion.

new contest posted, its a sad day for me . would have been my mom's birthday today , so make me laugh , I need some humour , The other day at work a little old man was flirting with me ( I am no spring chicken myself) after he walked away a coworker said , " think you'll ever get married again " , my answer was "nope" and I pointed at the man leaving " fuzzy socks and crocs" , some things are harder to tolerate the older you get , so make me laugh , write me a poem about the off fashion statement and reactions to it . Any form allowed but make it funny. Very limited placements so make it good

France, such a nice pic of you and your mom on this blog, I know how you feel, I get the same way on my Mom's birthday, on Mother's Day, on the date of her death, anyways, what a fun idea for a contest, I can work with this and usually I do not write funny but the visual is too priceless, love _Constance

Hi Francine, I can relate to you wanting laughter on today. My dad’s birthday was in March. I like this concept for the contest. Let's see what I can come up with, but I must warn you, I’m no comedian lol! :-) Alexis
