Never would I have thought I would start writing at 73 years of age. I have thoroughly enjoyed my voyage into the written spirituality of poetry and am thankful for the opportunity.  In my seven years here I have met many new and wonderful persons. Having them accept me as a friend has been a moving experience.

My Contest

Blog Posted by Charles Henderson: 5/2/2013 2:01:00 PM
There were 10 poems not written to haiku form entered into my contest.  Of course they were not judged. Many of the rest were really good poems, I just picked five that hit me as being outstanding.  There were more which probably were as good as the ones I picked, but having to make a cut somewhere, I chose what I chose.  I'm sorry if you think your poem was as good as another which was chosen and your's was not.  I was dissappointed that many do not yet know what a haiku is, but was encouraged by the depth of quality of the ones which were haiku.  My next contest will recognize all who write a good haiku.  My time was limited on this one. Thanks to all who entered.
