I have been toying with the idea of creating a contest of my own. Though I have a habit of veering from the format as it were, I guess I just need to mix things up sometimes. I was wondering rather than just another poetry contest if it would be accepted both by my fellow writers and with the powers that be if I could post the beginning of a story I have been writing. The idea being that those interested would continue it and be judged upon that criteria. I do realize that it's not poetry, but I am betting that some of you write more than just poems as I do. I would like to know if this would be a fun little project to offer or am I just going against the norm ? Your thoughts ? As always thank you for your time. Eric

We've had writing like this in the past, Eric ... smile ... folks just start a sentence, add to that ... don't know how long the stories got but yes, it sounds like fun ... don't know how you would judge it though ...

Maybe limit entries to 3 or 4 sentences and see what kind of story comes out. This reminds me of an old parlour game...I'll gladly throw my two cents in! Could be a blast or fall flat on its face. ***Danielle***

sounds like a verycreative idea.. but could be a major project for you... because of course , it would all have to flow together ... but it does sound interesting..

Anything against the norm is okay by me. It probably would create a major headache for you if you did all the editing. You never know if you can fly if you never spread your wings. Jyust my thoughts. Vince

Carol I know exactly what I am asking I do not need to think about it, I posted this to simply to see if it would be of any interest rather than the same old format. Your honesty is appreciated and btw my book has been published long ago. Good day to you.

Eric, my opinion is this is not a good idea. I have a couple reasons why but.........think about what you are asking. Others may go along with it but as I said it is not a good idea to ME. Love and best wishes in finishing your book and getting it published, Carol
