Carol Eastman

I sit at my window with my cats and dogs, where I feed my birds daily... Each day my Hubby Mike gives me tid bits from his imagination... before he heads off to work... I try to write for the fun and enjoyment of all... My poems never fit exactly into any contests... Fun story poems have a place here along with children's poetry. I'll be trying to promote them in the future by contests and my poetry.

Help! I need a pseudonym!

Dear PoetrySoupers.

Perhaps a lot of you know me for my Dragon poems. I was going to enter a

contest in my city when I read that I need to enter my poems under a pseudonym.

False name. All I could come up with is Scrutiny, Scuffle, Scrim(a loosely woven

cuirtain), Phoresis (to carry), Eclectic, or DreamCatcher. Obviously this is not one of my strong

points... Do any of you have any ideas that might work? And suggestions would

be helpful.

Make sure the name you choose isn't under trademark if it is to be published. Pendragon is under TM

Pink Winged Poet ,Fancy Poet , Lady Legend , Truths and Tales , Dragant dragon. Pink winged dragon , The silent dragon , painted dragon ,rainbow dragon ,paper dragon , lantern dragon..but my favourite remains Ruben ' s dragon - (The pen dragon ) : ).

I think Ruben is right on with "Pen Dragon". You write (pen) about Dragon. Makes sense to me, but you have a lot of good choices being suggested.

Look to local mythology if you want a dragon link. In my part of the world they are Taniwha (pronounced Ta knee far) a mythical dragon/serpent from Maori mythology. Hawaiian mythology has the Mo'o and I think the native American Indians had the Piasa.

The Piasa bird was painted on the river cliffs near our home. The boy scouts repainted it whenever it started to fade for many years. Good idea.
