I sit at my window with my cats and dogs, where I feed my birds daily... Each day my Hubby Mike gives me tid bits from his imagination... before he heads off to work... I try to write for the fun and enjoyment of all... My poems never fit exactly into any contests... Fun story poems have a place here along with children's poetry. I'll be trying to promote them in the future by contests and my poetry.

Dear Soupers... I want a contest with...

1 original, poem on the theme of ...... A delightful Childrens Fable... Please put a moral at the end about what the story teaches. Newbies or professionals... It doesn't matter. I judge lightly. Entertain us... Amaze us... Or just give it a try... Any form is acceptable... and any length. Preferably new, but old will work too. Remember to have fun... You don't have to add anything about me or the contest on it... Put your name at the end if you want... This is about your writting and not mine... And to entertain us. No special naming it is necessary. My rules are easy... Now go forth and write... write... write...

I judge lightly and want to promote your work... to show it off... and to have some fun at the same time!

You misunderstand - PS doesn't allow you as sponsor to ask for our names on contests, even if poets don't mind putting them.

Telling us that all contestants will be first makes it even more puzzling you should ask for names. My worry is that it will set a precedent, and the casual requirement for names will creep back into the system.

I did not misunderstand you... I understand I do not have to write my name, but *no-one* should write their names under Poetry Soup rules, unless the rules have been changed again. I will ask for clarification.

I didn't say that you HAVE to put your name on your poem. My contests are for fun and everyone places 1st. That's called judging lightly. You place on the list is determined by when you entered... So it's you who misunderstood. Still your friends... Carol, Hubby, Grandpa Troll and of course Dragon.
