Bugs in our Soup

Well, I thought it was probably about time that I posted a blog and, with bugs in our Soup, this is possibly not the most auspicious moment to choose!

Christie and I are very excited about the entries received into our Places of Magnificent Inspiration contest, and look forward to receiving lots more – unfortunately, that part of the site is inaccessible at the moment, but hopefully the technical folk at PS will spot and fix the error soon (it is a very simple fix!). So, get writing and be prepared to enter our contest when the chefs get the Soup’s recipe sorted again, or see my notes further down…

While things are broken, if anyone is frustrated by not being able to edit one of their poems, it can still be done as follows:

Take a note of your poem’s ID, which is the number at the end of the URL in the address bar when you view it.

Paste the following into your address bar with your poem’s ID added to the end…

https://www.poetrysoup.com/member_area/edit_my_poem.aspx?PoemID=

Hey presto! You will still get the error when you click on submit, but just ignore it and go to another page as you would when posting.

It is possible to enter one of the contests by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a workaround for deleting duplicate poems because they are using a database script from the "My Poems" page, which contains the embedded error!
