Wherever I travel in the world, amongst the artistic achievements of humankind that attracts me, is great architecture. Both as a writer and as a photographer. I often travel to a new destination specifically to see certain fabulous buildings. But, alas, my soul and eye are so frequently disappointed when I get there.

And the cause of my unhappiness? Scaffolding!

Why is it that every building is always being repaired at just that point in time that I have chosen to see it?

Does anyone else know what I am talking about, or is this a conspiracy reserved solely for me?

p.s. I am away for the weekend, probably photographing scaffolding, back late Monday.
