I'm wondering why you posted this as a blog? Its a wonderful piece of poetry, Glen so I hope you've included it in that part of your info. I totally agree with Vince. Somehow capitalism became a license to screw everybody that wasn't already a fat cat. When you study the history of financiers that started this country, as greedy as they were, at least they helped a lot of other people along the way! Great writing!!

Greed and corruption within the free enterprise system murdered America as we once knew it. Business leaders were respectable in the 40's, 50's and for the most part the 60's. The corporate bastards that took over the pharmaceutical, medical, insurance, banking and auto industries are the cause of the demise. The government does not answer to anything except violence. They took a country that was solvent 30 years ago and drove it into bankruptcy now they see indebting our children and grandchildren is the only way to save their billionaire friends lifestyles. There are no true republicans or Democrats. There is the ultra rich feeding off the working man. Run a small company into the ground through utter incompetence and see if you get bailed out. Bailout is reserved for the billionaires and trillionaires. The working man just pays for it. We need a 1776 all over again. If George Washington saw our government today, he would vomit. Vince

I'm sad to say I don't agree with this liberal bashing, though there are very many points; I think you make just smashing, I have enough and a bit more and give of all I have, I don't begrudge the poorest folk their economic salve. You have a gun and yet I don't, which of us is freer? We write out our thoughts right here you see; I was not proud to torture those that toured us. I was not proud to be alive when folks were told "back of the bus!" We made mistake, all countries have but our counties much much bigger. We admit our wrongs and make the attempt, justice to deliver." Dualing poets..here the banjo? Light & Love Debbie

Yeah I remember. I also remember when America was filled with greed from all these men in business suits. They'd invent these weird things they'd call 'credit default swaps' and 'mortgage backed securities' and we all felt so American we all had to buy them up or else someone else will beat us to it. I remember when these inventions turned out to be completely false but I can't seem to remember my good old pretzel eating American Joe of a president telling me that. He didn't really want to talk about it back then. He just wanted me to go die in another country so his daddy will be proud of him. He wasn't a very nice man.
