Please poets, keep your spats private. PoetrySoup is not the place to make disagreements public (Not sure there is a place for that). This is a poetry website, not a Soap Opera.

While we respect our Poets' freedom of expression, there are certain subjects and content that will not be allowed on PoetrySoup. Posting poems containing this content will result in deletion of your poetry and possible membership suspension for repeat offenders. Examples of unacceptable content or subjects are:

Sexually Explicit (X-Rated) Language
Profanity (Curse Words or Abbreviated Curse Words)
Nasty Comments (E.g. "This is CRAP!!!")
Occultism
Vulgarity
Personal Attacks, Battles, or Slamming Soup Members (Do not use a member's name in poems or comments - unless it is positive!!!)
Hateful Expressions (E.g. "I should have killed her")
Racism

(Romans 12:17) . . .Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men.

i joined soup a year back...total strangers welcomed me ,gave me positive feedback....i felt this site was a heaven for budding poets like me....but in these past some days i feel that this heaven has been smwhat messed up...but i have strong faith in all the ppl here...we will clean up the mess soon and thanks TPS for helping... :)

I love what James Fraser said in his comment........very sensible! I agree, James. Are we not grown ups?? Sometimes it is more like being back in middle school to see Soupers swinging mud back and forth. Happens much too often.

Chris, that brings up a whole range of euphemisms about poetry soap. Put your reputation on the line. Throw your muse out with the wash. Air your smelly words. Keep your poetry clean. Give me a few more Ruben. I have several more but I know you are itching to wash your mouth out with the soap.

Isn't there enough trouble/s in this fantastic world without having to add to them here. C'mon poets, let your words do the talking within the rules, and allow common sense to adhere to these rules and ALLOW poetry to be the winner. Not I'm better than you, or what ever ridiculous policies that have become apparent. Let us adults stand up and be counted, and allow the children on the Soup, to learn from us adults. I rest my case, forever :)

Er, Occultism??? What do you see as occult and what occult poetry would you delete? I find it odd that you would disallow poetry that may be considered occult & yet allow poetry that is violence inspired --- bang bang, I shot her down.... and as far as spats go, its part of being human and (unfortunately) some PROVOKE intentionally.
