A Poet's Heart Never Sleeps

Doesn't matter where I look or where I go there's always something that sparks the soul and keeps me thinking and writing and writing and thinking.  Even in my sleep, (when I sleep), I find there are things that spark the deepest emotions. 
Being a poet is great, but can sometimes be tiring when the mind naturally stays in the speed-zone.  The normal thoughts I have that run through at a thousand thoughts per second often get mangled with the thoughts that I'm actually wanting to put together.  Thus, sending my mind to who-knows-where, while my body operates on auto-pilot. 
I may not always have the ability to keep up with myself, but I wouldn't trade this crazy, twisted, complicated, fun, emotional life for anything in the world. :P

I've worked with kids that have similar battles in their lives. I love every minute and sometimes I am amazed at the depth of their feeling. Keep writing. You have a talent for it. God Bless. "There's always something to spark the soul.." is so wonderful, and so true for many of us, and with any luck, we are able to turn those sparks into great art.
