Angel Listen

I've given my heart
and let down my guard
Listened to your past
Handed out a second chance

My angel there is just one thing I ask
Don't do to me what I did to him.

Don't hope your affections will change
you can't fall in love by choice
If you can't see a future
Tell me before I take the fall

Because there's only one thing I ask
Don't do to me what I did to him

If you only care
Trust me it's not enough
Because when you're in love
You need to know the other persons there.

Don't do to me what I did to him..
It won't just hurt me, but you, my angel, too.

I Had a Friend

Once upon a time ago
I had friend you see
Jet black hair and soft brown eyes.
And never did he leave.

We'd take long walks
We'd tell bad jokes
He'd hold me when I cried
And give me bad advice.

It's been so long
Since I've seen that face
But the friendly smirk
Is now a guarded look.

In silence there we sit
Far away averting our gaze
We're in a very sinful place
To write our failures again.

But guilt and sorrow
And shameful pain
Have me biting back some tears
Because it is my fault.

You see I had a friend
I broke his heart
And turned my eyes away,
Then he watched me take my leave.

My Little Fighter

My little fighter
Your memory isn't any lighter.
The way you cocked your head,
And for tasty treats you plead.
You loved to tumble in the grass,
And stole sweets from a kid in my class.
When lying on my bed,
You'd curl up on my lap
There you'd take a little nap.
Chasing cars was your game,
But you always came when I called your name.
You were my one eyed pirate
Far greater than hudini.
Never will there be a pack
More sacred than that
Of a little girl and loyal friend
My little fighter
Your memory isn't any lighter. .
But one day we'll meet again.

In loving memory of my first pet a little foxi cross malteese terrier named Cola?

Beautiful Wreck

There’s a place somewhere
It’s been long forgotten,
Where shades of lilac, cream and white
Fill the foggy world far into the misty sea.
The murky skies with ivory clouds,
Shield it from heavens view.
So that the shells may lie in peace.

Amidst these shattered, clattered shells
Lies a boat which sadly sunk.
The wood decayed,
The frame unchanged.
On which sailors had once,
Ate and drank in company
And walked and readily slept.

They dreamed about the seven seas
And the treasure held by each.
So I close my eyes to see a golden light
Which Illuminates the ship again.
While sailors danced and sang
On that merry drink of rum.
With lyrics of old pirate songs.

Amongst their voices I hear the waves,
They crash beneath my feet.
As the sailor’s songs turn to screams.
Sorrowfully they say goodbye
To their dreams which fill the sky
As they sink unable to fly.

The salty spray splashes my face
And opens up my eyes
Amongst the shattered, clattered shells
I stand again.
And in my sight there it lays
The ship that once had merry sailors
Only now a wreck.

My Little Chameleon

Up and over I jumped the fence
With howls and barks left behind.
Slipped my backpack on my back
And to the hills I ran.

The stars were watching me
And the trees were hiding me.
I walked and walked so breathelessly
Until I came across a mystery.

You hissed and flared at my touch
Turning black to match the night.
I picked you up in my hands
You were no bigger than my thumb.

Between my fingers you lie and sleep.
Faded greys, and mellow greens
Are the colours you now keep,
When climbing up my golden streaks.

While I lie beneath the African sun
Away from city bustling runs.
You taught me many things
About adapting phases Changing One.

One step, one step at a time
You adapted once again.
My little warrior you’ve become
My Dearest little Wyatt

The Onyx Bird

The saddest thing I ever saw
Lay splattered on the floor
An onyx bird with feathers sprawled
I hoped he’d made heaven’s door.

Although his mangled body lay
Lifelessly on sad display.
Those who passed didn’t seem dismayed
But on the road he lay that day

His eyes had lost all their light
With his ability for flight.
And now he rests in god's great might
But still it is a saddened sight.

Do believe me when I say
That was not the tragic part.

Because faithfully at his side
There was a mournful chide,
While ruby blood stains dried.
Another onyx bird will bide.

Forevermore she’ll always long
For his beautiful melodic song.
Until in heaven where they belong
Both the onyx birds may soar like one.

The Broken One

The tears I shed are not for me,
Even though I broke my heart just recently.

They slide down my cheek for an angel I know,
Who lost his wings and now only weeps.
Although he hides it with his smile,
His deep brown eyes reflect it all.

So he comes and lies in my embrace,
And kisses me gently on my head,
And sweetly on my lips.
With a soothing hand upon my hips
He thinks he has me fooled.

That all is right and well, in his dreary, troubled world.
But all I know is the truth...

He's only trying to find some peace,
Deep within his troubled soul.

My sweet and gentle broken one
My heart still bleeds for you.

Inadequacy

Thoughts that swarm inside my head,
Because of what she's made me dread.
So now I hear that laugh and die
And see that smile and away I hide.
Her alluring voice just makes me break
Because a little part of me it takes.
My confidence and self esteem
In her perfect hands now gleam.
Soon my strength begins to wither
And my hand will start to quiver.
My only hope to force a separate,
So far away with many gates.
But now her enchanting face
Will follow me to my safe place.
And the question that seems void of hope
Is how the hell will I ever cope.
Because her wonders is all they see
Which extenuating my inadequacy.

A Little Strange

You’re a little strange,
The way you say my name,
And tell me I’m insane.
You didn’t even know me,
But you knew just what to say
When I was having a bad day.
You seemed quite crazy,
Even about my awful grammar,
And today’s latest glamour.
You always try to win,
All our stupid little arguments,
And the silly games we play.
You’re a little strange,
But I like the way you say my name,
And the way you drive me insane.

If All the World Made Sense

If all the world made sense,
You'd see what's done as done.
And never at it look back again.
Every single pain would disappear
And things that hurt forgotten.
The stars would grant you wishes
And in the clouds you'd fall asleep.
A cup of tea would sooth your worries,
A tea time treat your cravings.
School would cease to exist,
And all the subjects understood.
Chasing clouds would never die,
Nor that intuition of a child.
But in the end only one will suffer.
As in this senseless world it lives.
Through illusive words it thrives
And still remains undefined.
The workings of the heart that is,
'Cause only love would suffer
If all the world made sense.
