From Time To Time, Now and Again

Time will lapse leisurely as it runs
On nimble legs through worlds unknown.
The moon is whole, the wind will still and
You can hear the whispers that they speak.
And when the hour is near
You will see,
As they forward and enter the scene.
A feeling of fear seduced by the night
That lingers in the betweens.
Was once a foe but now a new
This foes actions have been.
Foresight thwarted by a potent dream
And what was wrong is now right.
As they draw near with faces misplaced
All feelings and thoughts subside.
When they leave you understand
And time returns to the world.
Although, without a lessoned learned
It may just leave once again.

No Longer

to cherish those moments in life,
when you understand,
macabre truth as it may be,
take solace in the comfort,
that comes when you realize,
realize what you wouldn't before.
it adds a solemn clam to the state of things,
like the calms that settles after war
when death is fresh in the air.
theres warmth in the aftermath,
even through lose and lack of hope,
although all has just gone wrong,
there's still that solemn vow,
to simply saunter on.
on the day of your birth,
you vow to never give in,
through heart ache and loss,
through times of pain and sin.
no matter how alone you feel,
or for that fact,
how alone you are.
there's still a primal urge,
to not stop,
to go far.
and even when you don't know why,
you keep one foot in front of another,
you hold your head up high,
become your father,your mother.
weights bearing down,
yet you still go on,don't know why.
hope always faded,
soul embedded in the ground.
even when you start to think,
you got things under control,
life will put you in check,
emotions start to roll.
chemicals mix, feelings arise
even when you try and fight.
we know that they're not valid,
we know that they're not right,
but they dominate us anyway.
no longer a will to fight.

Tight Rope

remember when you cared,
remember when there was hope.
when life was a balance beam,
not a thin tight rope.
when you still had innocence.
before life made you numb.
when you thought you knew,
before you knew you were dumb.
hard knock life,
then you realize what's true.
when you finally understand,
that all you have is you.
not so reassuring,
endless search for love,
never found on earth,
unheard from up above.
but it's ok.
yeah,it's alright.
once the shock is through,
when you realize all you have is you.
then you don't expect,
you learn not to hope.
and you just get used to living,
up high on the tight rope.

Too Scared To Be

There once was a time
When everything was real.
When hope was abundant.
When it hurt to feel.

That time has come and gone
Nor shall it be found.
Buried by the purpose,
Rotting with in the ground.

Waiting for the fall,
That feast upon your feet.
Causing you to faultier,
Demands your defeat.

But once you’ve gone looking
Only then you’ll see.
What it is that you,
Come forth too scared to be.

Remember

Feel the rhyme of things
As it sways to and fro,
In a world gone deaf and numb
In a place that is not our own.
Moments in time stop and go
And hold still for not, save one.
Is it you or me or we
That will see the job is done.
And when it finally stops
Changing from how it once grew,
Will there be memories,
Will we know what we knew?
For nothing is ever the same twice
As the waters slumbers here still,
And knowledge is never a waste
As wisdom rest upon the hill.

Shouldn'T Have

The norm passes by so easily
And there are days that I forget
But the ones that I remember,
Are the ones that I regret.
It’s never just one thing
They all coming rushing in
I hide them all so neatly
That they can not wait to begin
They’re never really dealt with
And I fell nothing but the shame
I can never forgive my sins
So I live in constant pain
There are days sometimes
When I remember to forget
And every once and awhile
I live with out regret
The burden gets so heavy
More and more each day
I will always have this debt
No matter how much I pay
I can feel the toll it’s taking
Containing such a thing
It’s feasts upon my soul
My dominating king.

Why

A world that’s filled with love, Is nothing without hate.
And if time does not exist why are we always late?
And why do we cross oceans
When we have our own back yards.
And if living is a breeze, Why do we make life so hard.
And why are we all different, When we are really all the same.
Tell me why it matters, And why we can not change.
Tell me why you have the notion, Your opinions are more correct,
When an opinion is not a truth, Is it because you can stand erect?
And why do we all fight and yell , Over what sound we use for god.
When no one really knows for sure, when we’re probably all wrong.
You think you have more purpose, Than the lowly birds and cats.
And tell me why people complain, About people who do just that.
Tell me why we know so much, And yet we are less smart than dumb.
You tell me why we’re all the same, Yet it matters where we are from.
And why do we covet
What other people own,
Why can we not relate,
To those who are not grow.
Tell me why we think this way, And yet there are those who never could.
Tell me why there’s those who can, But they simply never would.
Why do some welcome comfort, While others chase after pain.
And why we’re content to shower, In polluted acid rain.
And you tell me what beauty is, Because the media sure can.
You tell me what’s significant , In just simply holding hands.
Tell me why we are who we are, And why I am not you.
Why facts are always certain. Until there is something new.
And why has quantity become more important,
Than the quality of things.
Instead of evening stars , We have diamond rings.
You tell me why we have purpose, And I’ll tell you why we are here.
If you tell me what you’ve learned, At the end of every year.
You tell me what you could change, And I’ll be there to help out,
If you can only tell me, Why we always hurt ourselves.

Summer Nights

I remember when life rolled along like a blues guitar,
With comfort and warmth,
And that unspoken feeling.
When the summer nights held a world
Unknown to those who that belong to the day.
When you spoke of all that was or could be.
When you moved with the Earth sultry sway.
As you bask in primal heritage,
Barefoot and free.
Never knowing where you’re going,
Or where you’re going to be.
And one day they’ll all tell you
That the time has finally come,
To forget those sultry summer nights
To put your shoes on,
And start to live in the sun.
And to those people I say,
Prepare to pay the toll,
Because unlike those who remember,
You will never be whole.
