Premium MemberYoyo Heart

Open palm, with calm, rolling it up and releasing my
heart
My small heart is left dangling on a string
Tugging back and jerking in full speed
My small heart curls up
Into your palm
CALM
Releasing it swiftly
It gingerly rolls down again
Bobbing up and down at free will
You yank it up, dangling it on a string
Open palm, with calm, rolling it up and releasing my
heart.

Played With Duncan Yoyo

Played with Duncan Yoyo

Wherever we would have to go,
They played with a Duncan yoyo,
And be content,
We had meant;
Threw into wind when it did blow.

Premium MemberYoyo Weight

Eating celery just won't do
every day on the scale makes me mighty blue
Lose one pound gain back two
using a laxative is just too crude

One sunny day I'll be thin again
            my metabolism will burn within
I'll be able to eat any sweets I wish
pour on the gravy and lick clean the dish

Born to be fat, wearing triple X
buying size 32 dreaming one day they'll fit
Don't eat that, drink zero calorie
flavorless rice cakes are my new reality

One sunny day I'll be thin again
            my metabolism will burn within
I'll be able to eat any sweets I wish
pour on the gravy and lick clean the dish

Yoyo weight is my doomed fate
for with every diet my will escapes
Lose a few pounds then cheat and celebrate
and that mean scale shows I've gained back the weight

            One sunny day...

The Yoyo Player

The yo-yo player set it off, it is spinning on its length
He knew it was his skill his talent and his strength.

To let the yo-yo go with a flick of his wrist
If he had done it right it would run and then twist.

It would spin and roll away as far it could
But on its return it would come back to him or should.

No matter where it went he had a firm loving hold
The yo-yo was spinning but doing what it is told.

It has the freedom to turn roll and to spin
Because of that freedom it will return to him.

The flick as it goes sends it spinning so fast
But returns to the hand that it left last.

He can flick he can pull and he can really let it go
But he is a master and it will return from each throw.

He has loved he has learnt it through pain and tears
The spinning yo-yo he sent off will return there’s no fear.

The Yoyo Man

I was a kid about eight years old
Went shopping with Mom downtown
The Duncan man’s in store I was told
Isle three, where yoyos are found

I had a yoyo I got somewhere
Could make it go up and down
I saw there was a crowd over there
Checked it out, here’s what I found

A man had kids watching his scene
Had a yoyo in each hand
Doing yoyo tricks I’d never seen
They called him the Duncan man

Duncan yoyos became such a hit
I begged Mom and she bought one
The yoyo string’s not tied at the end
Spins free, unlike my old one

I practiced till some talent unfurled
At most tricks I was able
Like “loop the loop” and “around the world”
“Walking the dog” and “rock the cradle”

Time moved on, put the yoyos away
Till my kids became that age
They asked Mom for a yoyo one day
Told her it was all the rage

Found my Duncan yoyos, bought new strings
My kids were outside at play
Started doing fancy tricks and things
Old Dad amazed them that day

Yoyo

you toyed with my heart
like a yoyo on a string
a frayed string that broke

No More Yoyo, We'Re Goin' Solo

Our laughter is no longer
Harassed under the strict metered
Of syllabic counts

At a distance
You neither hear a sound
Nor a word

Yet whenever there is
A pandemonium,
Be aware, you’re not in a flea market

But...in the mirthful grin
Of their malicious lips,
Thank goodness, we’re now on our own!

Yoyo

Life is like a yoyo
It bounces up and down
Back and forth
And just when you think it is about to un whine
It pulls itself back up again.
