Can one ever have too much of a good thing?
Can I squeeze out an answer, my brain to wring?
Some folks will tell you I think too much,
with little to show, 'cuz I'm out of touch.
Good food and drink should be taken in moderation.
So, I'll stop trying to eat everything in creation.
Can one have too much sex? Should it be my goal
to find out, or should I not touch that with a pole?
Can there be too much love? Who'd be so hard-boiled
to say that? My grandma, who says I'm spoiled.
Can one laugh too much or go over the top?
If you're laughing at someone else, you should stop.
I can't say what's too much! Who am I to judge?
Time for my tenth piece of chocolate fudge.
I've yammered on and said "too much" too much.
So, I'll shut my mouth, but let's keep in touch.

As the candidate yammered on
His opponent stood his ground
When the first ran out of time
In a flash the second chimed ~
“I’d always thought a man’s word was his bond”

So confident that he'd pass the test
Claimed his oral essay was the best
He yammered and muttered
And stammered and stuttered
But half way through he puked on his desk

he was pouring at the happening and usually there is a fair amount of disdain for the enthusiasts
who like to sidle up to sample the snacks, libations and what have you goodies.
he was a wisp of fair blond - a hippy kid.
he asked me if I would like him to crack my can of brew
I told him that this was not necessary
I looked at some stuff and listened to some other stuff
trying to maintain a bit of elbow room
while the crowds swirled and yammered
biding some time before refill and then I went back for another and he
cracked this one for me and said "cheers"
I drank it down and went for a walk down the street
I did not want to appear to be too gluttonous so I gave it some minutes
when I resurfaced in the crowded room and foraged thru the groups back to my man
he smiled and said "I grabbed this one at the bottom so that its chilled and now it needs to be shotgunned".
I laughed and retorted with double thumbs up
Impressed that this cat accurately assessed my quench and provided a
responsive and congenial atmosphere in one that can be rather unpleasant and clannish
my man had it
and I salute him for it
the damn hippy dippy
had it
kindness

Y!...P!M! : asked the sentry at the door of waking
--------------------------------------------------------
yup...past midday!
(yawning...pondering...mmmmm)
yammered past
midnight
yacking propels me
yards...plows
mental
yesteryears pathways...mountainous
yes...puzzling
maybe
yet productivity means
yachting problems
minimizing
yawls...pacifying memories
yearning...premeditations
materialized
years previous...managable
yen-pen
moment
yang potential mediums
yielding...perpetual
music...
yelling pesters me

The sun burned bright before the dawn
The moon winked twice, and then was gone
It rained down snow amidst the heat
Unnatural, discord's drumbeat...
Pets walked their masters to and fro
There wasn't any place to go
Attractions closed, most shops shut down
Where once were smiles, now only frowns...
TV's news shows just yammered on
Folks turned away, suppressing yawns
Hid in their rooms, and played their games
The world they knew, now up in flames...
The world collapsed at eventide
Its soul gone rotten from inside

The First Day of School
By Franklin Price
5/2/2016
I thought the day would never come
When I would go to school
Was only six, smart as can be
Was joining in the pool
The first day came, the bus arrived,
The sign went out, and stopped
The driver opened up the door
And on the bus I hopped
We chattered and we yammered
Riders ,high school down to child
Didn't think too much about it
But sure we drove the driver wild
Seems it took forever
Crossed the causeway and lagoon
Finally reached the school yard
Would go week days until June
First through sixth in building two
Seven, eight in building three
Nine through twelve in building one
A twelve year journey it would be
But this was just the first day
Found my desk within my class
Can't remember what I learned that day
But the hours quickly passed
The final bell rang end of day
First day's end for each of us
Ran outside to find my ride
Rushed quickly to the bus
Took at least a day or two
To finally reach my home
Although it was in Florida
Might as well have been in Nome
Oh, what an adventure
That first day was the best
Riding down that country road
On the bus with all the rest
