Alas, ‘tis a tire, a tire o’thy ire
Hilli-ho! Bless ye enlightenment so,
O wonder is glutinous’n glory
Ho! So deem thee glutinous whence basking’n this glory!
Some push, some pull, cutting so deftly with idle energy
Chirrup! Ho, chirrup! Dance, do prance anyhow, everyhow
Professing unlike the former, latter insignificant thoughts
Chirrup! Why, clear away!
F’why hath this matter so?
Gladly glaze the superstition that supper is but brief
Conduct thee here, pulsing, thriving, alive here so
Bold young brooding worrywart
Thwart ye worries, in excitement and ecstasy and boyish buoyancy
And in an unbroken light enlighten, ho!
Stream beneath thee, bequeath thy soul!
F’one shall bask in glutinous glory afterall!
Yo-ho! Resolve thee, t’be a bran-new barmy mare.

Imagination can be a curse.
The worrywart will visualize the worst scenarios.
Wasting the day to oblivion.

Some friends are going on a tour;
Invited us to join.
You’d think it would be easy
To decide - just flip a coin.
We’d meant to take a trip with them
When Covid reared its head.
We got our money back; our friends
Rescheduled instead.
Since then, they’ve started traveling,
For life, of course, is short
And though this tour sounds wonderful,
I am a worrywart.
I’ll mull it over and discuss
But think I’m disinclined,
So once again, our friends will go
And I will stay behind.
A worrywart out West in Ojai
always thinks he's about to die
When he stubbed his small toe
he sighed: It's my time to go
then called all his friends to say good-bye

We were born to be real, not to be perfect
Only one Child was given life, innocent at birth
Everyone else was born with a flaw, or a defect
and walks upon this planet called, Mother Earth
If any of us continually strive for perfection,
we face a destiny to live quite disappointed
and foolishly heading in the wrong direction.
Humans are not born as one of the anointed.
So don't be a pragmatist or even a worrywart
Being an overachiever will cause you heartache
Enjoy days of leisure and don't give it a thought
that being a paragon offers a means of escape.
