Wishers Poems | Examples

Grateful to all

Finally, everything was made possible
From just 'You and I', to 'Groom and Bride'
By our beloved and precious families
We walked the aisle of the church with blessed smiles.
Friends and well-wishers, who always stayed along,
Who prayed and blessed our journey.
Grateful to everyone for being a part of our wonderful story.

Premium MemberJeers and Cheers

The crush of reporters with mikes
       the security entourage
    Autograph-seekers, well-wishers
       hand-shakers, selfie-fishers

On stage 24/7... with luck, for years
Careening 'career' ... jeers and cheers
         ~ ‘midst the booze veneer

Premium MemberDear Death

Stop peeping through my window.
I am not, herein, on any snooze show.
You frighten me with pin-pierce-like aches.
In my dreams, you send snakes.
I am frightened of my irreversibility.
Isn't evil's mischievous causality?
I sleep and wake with thanatophobia.
Knell is heard in my ears, not Gloria.
The world seems strange to me.
My well-wishers say I'll be soon free.
Is freedom regressing within myself?
Do I need, anymore, jewels on my shelf?
I remain shocked, often, and numb.
Unconsciously, I calculate my existential sum.
Anguish and anger brew in me.
I see void, vacuum, and absurdity.
Where has my creed gone?
Why is there dryness in the marrow of my bone?
I bear everything, whether great or small.
Trusting in an eternal life towards which I crawl…

A brief elapse of time

Lost in the lexicon of subtlegafe
dumbconfonded at the the break of day
Watching the smiles from the well wishers
a mass of contradiction ensures
A vexation for the night
brief excursions to be stet
stretching time higher than the cornflowers
back bent the best he could do

Every Dearest Moment

Every dearest moment
sent by love is sweet honey,
open those arms and greet it;
it's not gold, but rather joy!

We are restless seekers
and persistent wishers;
we cling to silly things,
our very narrow and irrational minds
won't perceive anything that binds!

Every dearest moment
felt with true appreciation
sparks a cheering elation;
every dearest moment
is as dazzling as snow,
making feelings glow!

We turn away from untrue looks,
shunning pretentious affections...
until the perfect match is found;
until that big dream is crowned!

Premium MemberFLYING WHEELCHAIR

“Let’s fly together
I’m the pilot; you’re the stewardess…”
Such is articulated by my special child!

Thus, we soar beyond clouds
inside his wheelchair-turned space craft.

Devoid of wings, there we zoom
toward the stars
enthralled by celestial bodies
midst triumphant glee.

Exploring freedom with zest
we bow gratefully to God
praising Him midst miracles
acknowledging His specialization
for impossibilities*...

Concluding our journey
we meet angels of sweet kindness
ready to distribute heavenly goodies
for well-wishers in the orphanage.

*Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Premium MemberThe Passing Of A Poetess

You left
After death
Knocked at your door
No need to say more.

We painfully grieved
We recited your poems.

We cried like grown kids
As you lay
Silently surrounded
By a dazzling array of orchids
You said nothing
Phenomenal Darling.

We quietly grieved
We listened to your poems.

As you lay in state
Speechlessly surrounded
By good wishers who love you
Many poets paid tribute to you
You were phenomenally gifted
And blessed
May you rest in peace!

Now we understand your poems
We know why you had to leave.

Death came
You were neither ashamed
Nor afraid to go on the journey
Today is your day
And ours will come soon
Under a somber moon
Let us reminisce
You will surely be missed
My Darling
The bells rang
Good morning.

Premium MemberLast of Lonely Times

If this is the last time, a vow I keep,
Lamenting loneliness, within me seeps,
The cure, I believe, lies within the soul,
Awakening it, making the heart feel whole.

A voice so warm, a smile that brings in light,
Medicine for my heart in the lonely night,
Not desperate, yet longing for a friend,
A companion's solace, a soul to mend.

As companions depart, leaving me in strife,
In this vast ocean, seeking precious life,
Well-wishers fade, just fleeting for a while,
When chat windows close, lonelier the mile.

Love, a vine that clings to nearby life's wall,
Embracing me with compassion's tender call.

Jude Refused Winning Numbers

Sir Jude never gave them a thought:
Not the kind of ideas he bought.
Well-wishers went down on their knees
"Please sir, play the draws - Double Please!"

Soon, the draws great miracle wrought;
On other palms dropped what Jude sought:
Millions that shan't take one to court;
Big cash for life of any sort

And since then Jude body heat fought
At home waiting: his empty pot:
Goes to toilets of The Caught Short
Who tells people "God is my fort!"

Premium MemberA River That Dried

A long line of waters
Deep in hearts of bathers
A lifeline of growth
Weep of salvation brought forth

Waters of life over a mile
Outrunning a thousand stile
Gifts of life in piles
Surmounting torments of viles

Dreams on waters slate
Streams of sages proliferate
Sun beam of neon flickers
Teeming waters on pickers

Wishers with panoramic views
Dreamer of waters purviews
Like well-wishers throwing coins over heels
Eye-openers on picker wheels

A river full of life
A river lull of strife
Outpouring a thousand mile
Outscoring a thousand smile

On this river of hope
A bigger dream to scope
A kaleidescope of scenery
Grandeur over tapestry

One day the said river dried
No one ever wondered and belied
Gold in pieces on the ground mounted
In the hearts of gold sprouted

Euphrates...
A river

Talents Are God's Parents

First you must have faith in your talent
Confidence in yourself must be present
Then your progress will be super fast
All the difficulties, you can just outlast

Methodically if you make the preparation
Perfectly you can execute your portion
Proceed with a positive thought to win
Be firm zestfully, then the task you begin

Never think that you can never at all do
Always believe that God will ever rescue
With hope fill your heart and be mirthful
To all your well-wishers be truly faithful

Maximum optimism is the best spirit
That will highlight finely your merit
Getting upset or confused is very bad
Always trust upon Justice must be had

Definitely the path will contain hurdles
Life will be filled with terrible riddles
A wise man has a balanced approach
His mind, fear cannot at all encroach.

Premium MemberGrand Park

Park’s stoic oak, its bark with deep fissures.
Soft serenade of brook and waterfall
With copper coins and stones of well-wishers.
Wee critters in and out of mossy wall.
The warm and cold, four seasons, do enthrall:
Grass plush, leaves deep, snow depths. The stellar sun
Shines on a sticky web, intricate-spun.
Quick flap of wings and landing of birdsong.
Sighting a doe, with young - skittish, on run.
Grand park, in shadow’s leap - a lavish throng.

Poetry Soup,
Operating and orchestrating like no poetry site that I have tried,
Energizing the creative side of my 'compulsive bent' for writing.
The great lesson among so many others is that talent alone is not enough.
Regardless of how creative or gifted one might be, may we not forget that
Years of yearnings coupled with a masterful cast of well-wishers are priceless.

Say nothing of the contests that trigger a long-forgotten memory that
Only can be ignited and set aflame by the 'poetic spirit' found there.
Unmatched and incomparable, in my opinion, among other sites I've used.
Personally, I have greatly benefited and been enlightened of my life's purpose.

Premium MemberChicken Gullet Destiny

CHICKEN GULLET DESTINY
(or "The Trouble With Radishes")

The memory of things that will be
usually fades into the haunting melody
of a life reduced to picking the easy fruit
of future history.

Never more the blue-sky dreams,
Living low, deep in the dirt,
careful to not look up and see
what may become of me.

Extoll the virtues of the radish!
In harmony with nature he is, returning all he takes,
bissfully blank, nary a care
for whom his creator may be …

… or his chicken gullet destiny.

Perhaps I'm not fit to be master of this contented menagerie,
cursed as I am with words and tools and this fine pair of shoes.
However, crawling and squawking don't come naturally
despite the earnest promises of the well-wishers of humanity.

Gears and pulleys to and fro, yet radishes have their static charm.
But motion's the thing!
Not the clinging memories of planets yet to be
and the eventual end of me.
