Last of Lonely Times

If this is the last time, a vow I keep, Lamenting loneliness, within me seeps, The cure, I believe, lies within the soul, Awakening it, making the heart feel whole. A voice so warm, a smile that brings in light, Medicine for my heart in the lonely night, Not desperate, yet longing for a friend, A companion's solace, a soul to mend. As companions depart, leaving me in strife, In this vast ocean, seeking precious life, Well-wishers fade, just fleeting for a while, When chat windows close, lonelier the mile. Love, a vine that clings to nearby life's wall, Embracing me with compassion's tender call.
