Premium MemberThe Wolfman

The old concoction, over a century ago since it was first brewed. It transformed a man into a blood-thirsty wolf-beast. Killed those that it hunted, and haunted by killers, like that of Bruce Willis. The melee ritual continued bestilled, assisted by the moneyless workers who buried his victims in overnight cemeteries. Before the turn of the century, he has begotten an heir sharing the sinister trait. The continuity worsened as a few bitten, also carried the wolf trait. One affected Daddy Dearest and the calamity befelled his family. An overly protective mother shields her crying daughter. The daughter asks her, "What's wrong with daddy?" She tells her that her daddy is infected because he was bitten by a wild beast. So for a long while they are living in fear of constant exterior attacks by Daddy the Wolfman. In the final carnage they both died. She willed her daughter's care with a family member. He hears her laughing heartedly downstairs. He stops mid-flight and sees the girl twirling and being spun around in the air. He smiles with a tear of joy.

Premium MemberShots Fired - Oh So Tired

I'm in the station when I hear the first shot
I run outside to the parking lot
Willis and Ferris are on the ground
Faces down
Blood pooling around
Blood rushes to my head
Are they alive or dead?
I begin to move towards them when another shot rings out
I feel something sharp hit me then I too am knocked out
I wake up in a strange room filled with wounded men
I count them and spot Willis and Ferris is beds 9 and 10

Premium MemberDetective Work Is Not Easy

They all knew what happened, six were speaking at the same time.
I separated them out and told them to make sense and please rhyme.
One quit, unsure what I meant. My dividing skills were heaven-sent.
Please give me the facts, on the tracks, with the pacts of some sacks.

She did not understand, so I said it louder, I mean really loud.
By now we had acquired a rather large, obnoxious hillbilly crowd.
Who kilt Billy Bob Henry Lee Major Fay? An old-faced hag said.
Until she spoke, I had forgotten we were next to something dead.

Turned to me. Come on detective, what do you have to tell us?
This was from a cousin of Billy Bob Henry. His name is Catchy Willis.
I’m getting the statements, I said. It’s going to take some time.
This took me away from my lessons to teach these people to rhyme.

Premium MemberMack Tries To Set Them Up

One Eyed Mack remembered not what two eyes felt like
He had lost sight in his left eye when a little tyke
He has been preaching since he was three or four
Inviting all the neighbors to church forevermore

Not many stayed, two diehards did though
Old Mr. Willis and Lady Bow Flow
She formed her church around her life
One Eyed Mack thought Mr. Willis should make her his wife

When he came home from college Mack took a peek at one or another,
To see where they were sitting. Wanting them to find each other.
Never did though Miss Willis held a grudge for forty-three seasons.
You see in 1934 Mr. Willis stood her up at the altar, so that was the reason.

The Duke

There was a man's man, you could say he was grand,
who blessed the cinema screen and had millions of fans.
When he swaggered into a room, men stepped aside,
their wives and their daughters they would all try to hide.

He had something about him, some called it true grit.
Others would say, "What ever it is, I wish I had it!"
He stood around six-foot-four, larger than life.
If you crossed paths, you had better brought more than a knife.

On and off the screen he got his respect,
actors today, sorry to say, don't have that effect.
Willis, Deniro, Pacino and the Rock all rolled into one,
wouldn't come close to John Wayne and the things he has done.

Now I've seen all his movies, thanks to my Dad, his number one fan.
From Rio Bravo, Rooster Cogburn, Chisum and The Quiet Man.
That's just a few, to list all would take too much time
and drain all my ink and ruin my rhyme.

The Duke didn't lose many fights that he fought,
the man he portrayed was invincible we thought.
The battle called cancer he just couldn't juke,
but I'll always remember this pilgrim, known as the Duke.

George Jefferson Got His Butt Kicked

When everything was said and done,
Tom Willis kicked the crap out of George Jefferson.
George continuously called Tom's son a zebra and Tom was fed up with it.
George was rushed to the hospital after Tom Willis snapped and had a fit.
He kicked George's butt and made him eat the floor.
George decided not to call Tom's son a zebra anymore.
George had Tom thrown in jail for assault and battery shortly after the fight.
Now the prison guards are calling Tom a zebra because he's wearing stripes.

(This poem was inspired by 'The Jeffersons' TV show.)

Constricted

Walt Willis had a pain in the crotch.
He vowed to stop drinking so much scotch.
But that wasn't to blame
the cause was clearly plain.
His gut needed a belt with a new notch.

Chicago

The Big Windy City
Is what people call it
Truly is lovely
But sometimes loud and bustling
The honking of horns
The screeching of brakes
When you look up you see the big Willis Tower
Looming down at you
Turn and see the cob
The one shaped like corn
The amazing museum
Science and Industry
Field Museum
The Art Institute
Even a small Swedish Museum
All in one city
Called The Big Windy City

jabber like little dogs
Jaws grip prey like a vice
Jugular bites will kill

Premium MemberBruce Willis To the Rescue

Bruce Willis is at the Super Bowl with blimps and tunnels to run thru!
Run! Bruce Willis! Run! The bad guys are after you!
His wife is in the seats wondering if she’ll be safe!
Honey! Your Hubby is BRUCE WILLIS! No one could be MORE SAFE!

If something is not right! If terrorists are running a muck!
Bruce Willis to the rescue! Thank you very much!
With Miley Cyrus as the ½ time act! Don’t worry anyone!
Before she begins to twerk! He’ll tackle her to the ground!

Are the vendors charging way too much? What will you do?
Simply call Bruce Willis! He’ll do whatever there needs… to do!
As everything goes into sudden death over time…
Bruce Willis to the rescue…That in unless…

Chuck Norris is there for the other blooming team!!!
Then Run! Bruce Willis! Run! Chuck Norris is after you!

Face Paint

FACE PAINT

Will ART take me back to my maker again ?
My last breath goes..... as mahogony waits.
Scriptures I know have laid paths now and then
Gather not roses but thoughts of my face.
Shadows are cast as my sods they sink low.
I followed the cross with faith and despair.
Reckless at times with much sadness bestowed.
Drunken nights vexed, I was not always there.
Feasting myself on loose women and wine.
Cocktails with Satan, I'm sorry were supped.
Friends tried their damnest to keep me in line.
Values once held are now covered in muck
Was sweetness had, as a sinner and saint ?
When you see my face, which one will you PAINT ?

The New Cool

Next month I'll be fifty
What rhymes with fifty?
Sixty

Ten years to make fifty
the new thirty
Get down and dirty
Like Stallone and Willis
Maybe buy a few guns

"Yeah we bad."

"How we gonna hit em Sly?"
"I don't wanna DIE HARD!"
"No John Wayne Gacy for me."
Try to breeth like Jack Nickelson

I can feel it allready
An unimaginable ammount
Of cool being showered
Down on me

All I have to do is
Keep my mouth shut

This City Inspires Me

The Chicago skyline.
You symbolize home.
You are me and I am you.

There you are Sears Tower!
Just like you I will stand tall and strong
Even through life's toughest winds,
I might sway back and forth,
But to the ground which I was built on,
I'll remain.
Even when people try to change my name,
I'll just reply "Watchya talkin bout Willis?!"
Yeah, you'll always be Sears to me.
And I'll always be Joe to you.

Thank You Chicago.

I promise I will get as fast as
The trains and planes that transport your people
And when I get caught up in life's traffic,
I promise to keep my cool and my destination in mind.
I promise to get as strong as your culture is.
I promise to always be filled with as much vigor as
Your raging college students are.
I promise to stay as passionate as
The struggling musicians that serenade your "L" subways are.
I promise I will work as hard as
Your workers that are just trying to pay their bills do.
I promise I'll always stay as hungry
As the poor that beg on your streets are.

And I promise I'll make you proud of me.
For I am proud of you!
Chicago, don't you know?
You will always put the "O" in Joe.
